CatchCam Technologies is continuing SafetyNet Technologies’ mission: Supporting Sustainable Fisheries and Marine Research

Supporting Sustainable Fisheries and Marine Research by catchcam technologies

We are excited to announce that CatchCam Technologies (CCTech) is carrying forward SafetyNet Technologies’ (SNTech) mission! This marks an exciting new chapter for us, as we continue to support sustainable fisheries and marine research with innovative technological solutions.

While SafetyNet Technologies is closing down due to challenging market conditions, CatchCam Technologies is a fresh new start—founded by former employees who are committed to taking its mission forward with renewed energy.

Why the Change?

Over the past 13 years, SafetyNet Technologies developed technology that helped fishers collect underwater data to support better decision-making. However, the fishing industry is not an easy one to navigate and market challenges made it difficult for SNTech to continue operating. In light of this, former team members came together to establish CatchCam Technologies. This ensures that the innovative work and partnerships built over the years will not only continue but thrive.

The transition offers an opportunity to deliver marine solutions more effectively. Dan Watson, Nadia Laabs and Aran Dasan, the original founders of SNTech, support this change. They will continue as advisory board members of CatchCam Technologies, ensuring continuity and supporting the ongoing mission.

Dan Watson, CoFounder of SafetyNet Technologies

“It’s been a privilege to be part of SafetyNet Technologies’ progress over the last 13 years, working alongside an incredible team of committed people, driven by our mission. I’m proud that it will be taken forward by members of that team under a new banner. Chris Lewis, Tom Rossiter and the new approach being taken by CCTech are exactly what’s needed to bring a renewed focus and energy to supporting sustainable fisheries and making a real difference in the industry.” — Dan Watson, CoFounder of SafetyNet Technologies

What to expect from CatchCam Technologies?

Our Commitment to Sustainable Fisheries

Tom Rossiter, CoFounder of CatchCam Technologies

“This transition is an exciting step forward for us. Dan’s support has been invaluable, and we’re committed to carrying forward the work we started together. As CatchCam Technologies, we’re reaffirming our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and collaboration. We have strong products that have proven to be efficient allies for fishers out at sea and now we want to build on top of that, to keep creating well-designed tools for both the fishing industry and research communities. We count on collaboration to achieve that together!” – Tom Rossiter, CEO of CatchCam Technologies
