Pisces can be used to investigate whether lighting attracts target species or could provide an alternative to traditional bait in specific fisheries. These outcomes depend on the species and fishing conditions and should be tested before assuming a benefit.
Pisces has a maximum depth rating of 800 metres.
Battery life depends on the light settings and operating conditions. Pisces can run for up to 20 hours at maximum brightness, with longer operating times at lower brightness settings, up to 250 hours. Confirm the relevant conditions in the product datasheet.
Pisces is charged wirelessly using the supplied charging case. There is no need to open the light to change batteries or attach an external battery pack to your gear.
Pisces has been trialled on demersal and mid-water trawls, scallop gear, pots and traps, and pole-and-line fisheries. Mounting requirements depend on the gear and deployment.
