GoPros are well-suited for short, attended dives where battery life and recording duration are not constraints. CC-Bio is designed for the next step up: unattended deployments from days to months, with scheduled capture, environmental sensing and remote data retrieval. Where a GoPro requires frequent site visits and manual review, CC-Bio is built to keep collecting data between those visits.

CC-Bio supports standalone operation for shorter-term studies on internal battery (contact our team for specifications).

For longer deployments, it can connect to a solar-powered surface hub or land-based power to continue operating for months, or years even. This makes it ideal for remote marine biodiversity monitoring where frequent servicing is impractical.

Yes. CC-Bio is suitable for university budgets, and we work directly with students and supervisors to configure the system for specific research questions. We can also support data management, export formats and documentation for thesis and publication requirements.
