From October 2025 onwards, you can take advantage of our newest software updates to make reviewing your footage easier and quicker than before.
- Faster playback: Now you can review your footage at up to 16x speed. That means a 10-minute video can be reviewed in under 40 seconds. That way, skippers and researchers can see how gear is performing, check catch behaviour, and spot any issues at sea.
- Quick-select downloads: No more manually selecting each clip. Videos now play continuously and you can mark clips for download directly from the playback screen.
- Smart scheduling: Set up to 16 recording times per schedule. With smart scheduling, CatchCam can record for up to 4 weeks when set to capture just a few minutes per hour. This extends battery life, reduces the need for frequent retrievals, and ensures you capture the data you need on every tow without interrupting fishing operations.
Together, these updates mean you can start playback, review your tow footage rapidly, and easily select the clips that matter most.
